Learn, share and grow with other Parents and Carers
We are excited to announce the launch of a brand new 8-week program which provides parents and carers of newly diagnosed autistic individuals with the opportunity to learn, share and grow together.
This group provides members with access to educational workshops and a safe space where parents and carers can share their story and build relationships with others experiencing similar circumstances.
Across 8 weeks, we’ll be covering a number of essential topics which include:
- ASD 101
- Communication
- Sensory/regulation
- Play
- Behaviour
- Supportive relationships
- Family/individual strengths
- The autism service infrastructure
Program Details
We currently have spots available for three groups:
Bundoora Clinic – 15 Plenty Road, Bundoora, VIC 3083
- Dates: Tuesday 28th February – Tuesday 18th April
- Time: 1pm-3pm
Bayswater Clinic – 52 Stud Road, Bayswater, VIC 3153
- Dates: Wednesday 1st March – Wednesday 19th April
- Time: 9.30am-11.30am
Telehealth – Via Teleconference
- Dates: Wednesday 1st March – Wednesday 19th April
- Time: 12.30pm-2.30pm
Groups will meet once a week for eight weeks. Each session will run for 2-hours.
This program will be facilitated by Irabina clinicians with lived experience who will also provide up-to-date information about autism which reflects the voice of the autistic community.
