In this interview Deb Goldfinch, Irabina CEO, catches up with psychologist, author and lecturer, Dr. Wenn Lawson.
Deb speaks with Wenn about the impact his first book, Life Behind Glass, had on him when it was first published 20 years ago, his current writing project with co-author Yenn Purkis, how he is coping with the COVID-19 lockdown and more.
Dr. Wenn Lawson is a well-respected and highly knowledgeable expert on autism. He combines his lived experience insights with professional knowledge ranging from First Class Honours in Social Work to a Doctorate in Psychology. Wenn has been public speaking for more than twenty years and published his first book on autism, “Life Behind Glass”, in 1998. There have been a further fifteen books to date since then and he is currently working on a new book on intersectionality, neurodiversity and gender diversity with his co-authors Rochelle Johnson & Yenn Purkis.
Dr. Wenn lives in Australia in Warrnambool, Victoria with his wife Beatrice and is available for training, consulting and speaking engagements. He also travels to the UK and Europe periodically.
