Microsoft Teams for Telehealth

Dear Irabina Families,

 

We would like to inform you that we will be moving from Zoom to Microsoft Teams, to better serve our telehealth families. This change is scheduled to take effect on January 10th, 2022. For all telehealth appointments, your clinician will now share a Microsoft Teams link with you.

Although we are switching to Microsoft Teams, it functions very similarly to Zoom and you do not need to create an account. Microsoft teams offers a greater level of security and can more easily be integrated into our system. To help our Irabina families make a smooth transition to using Microsoft Teams, please see the instructions below:

How to join your appointment using Microsoft Teams:

  • When using a desktop computer or laptop:
    • A few minutes before your appointment, click the link from your clinician. You will not be required to log in.
    • A webpage will open. Click “Join on the web instead”. You will not be required to download the app.
    • Enter your name and choose your audio and video settings.
    • Click “Join now”. You will be taken to the meeting lobby. Your clinician will then admit you into the meeting.
  • When using a smartphone, iPad or other mobile device:
    • A few minutes before your appointment, click the link from your clinician. You will not be required to log in.
    • If you haven’t downloaded the Microsoft Teams app, you will be taken to the app store to download it. You only need to download the app once per device.
    • Open the app once downloaded.
      • If using an android device, open the app from the store page.
      • If using an iOS device, click the meeting link from your clinician to open the app.
    • Click “Join as guest” when prompted. You will be taken to the meeting. Your clinician will then admit you into the meeting.
