With the latest rise in COVID-19 cases here in Victoria, it’s been mandated that from Thursday 23 July, everyone over the age of 12 in Metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire need to wear face masks when leaving the home.
Hi Everyone,
The majority of Irabina programs have moved to Telehealth, but some sessions remain on site. This new announcement means that all of our staff on site are now wearing masks, and we’ll need you to wear them as well. This will help slow the spread of Coronavirus, and keep you, your family and our staff protected.
Masks don’t need to be specially purchased – they can be homemade, or a scarf or bandana. The main thing is that they fully cover your nose and mouth, without gaps around the edges. And we want to stress that children 12 and under do not need to wear a mask.
If you need help with any of this, please let us know and reach out to your clinician. I’ve included some links to social stories, videos and instructions that you might find helpful when explaining masks to your kids.
Stay safe, and you look after yourselves. We’re all in this together.
