Referral process

We believe that very young person has the right to experience their own success and live an independent life so we make Irabina’s services as accessible as possible. If you’re concerned that your child may have Autism, the best thing you can do is visit your GP or paediatrician to discuss your concerns. Each child develops at their own pace and may need some support in reaching some developmental milestones.

Referral process for professionals

Paediatricians & GP's

In order to undertake a diagnostic assessment at Irabina, there needs to be a referral letter from a paediatrician. The referral letter also enables families to receive a Medicare rebate on the assessment.

If you’re a paediatrician or GP that wants to refer a family for services at Irabina, it will come through the normal intake appointment process.

Support Coordinators

Support Coordinators can refer their NDIS clients for services at Irabina by booking an intake appointment on their behalf or directing their clients to our intake team.

Maternal Health Care

Maternal Health Care centres can refer families for services at Irabina by booking an intake appointment on their behalf or directing their clients to our intake team.
