About the Program:

Irabina’s Severe Behaviour Program is completely unique and is the only one of its kind in Australia and the greater Asia-Pacific region. The Day Treatment program is specifically tailored for the assessment and treatment of severe behaviours like self-injury, aggression, property destruction and other dangerous behaviours. This is world’s best practice, and Irabina is recognised internationally as pre-eminent provider in the field. Families that have nowhere else to go, come to Irabina.

Our highly specialised team has been hand-picked from across the world. Working closely together they leverage their advanced skills in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Positive Behaviour Support, Psychology, Research and a deep understanding of complex behaviours to support children, young people and families in need.

This is a rapidly growing, multi-million dollar program in high demand. We’re seeking an innovative leader to take the reins and help shape the next chapter of the Severe Behaviour Program at Irabina.

About the Role:

The Lead Clinician for the Severe Behaviour Program will oversee the day-to-day operation of the program; provide support and oversight of an advanced team of clinicians; assist in the design and implementation of behavioural intervention plans; and communicate with families and other professionals as you advocate for the program.

About You:

You will be passionate about making a difference and have a thorough understanding of complex behaviours, and behavioural therapy. You will be a confident leader and strive for excellence in your field, with years of clinical experience and published research under your belt. You will be excited to make a name for yourself and lead a close-knit team on the cutting-edge of behavioural intervention.

The Severe Behaviour Program at Irabina Autism Services is internationally-recognised and closely aligned with our partners, Marcus Autism Centre, Kennedy Krieger Autism and Maine Health Care. We are also closely linked with various institutions in Australia, including Monash Children’s Hospital and The Royal Children’s Hospital.

Who Should Apply:

To succeed in this role, you will have a deep understanding of complex behaviours and be able to communicate clearly and eloquently with both other professionals and our families. You may have a background supporting complex behaviours and working in Health, Justice or similar field, supporting complex mental health needs and you will have had exposure to complex and severe behaviours. You will understand what a Function means, and the ABCs of Behaviours.
