Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder have a range of schooling options. Depending on cognitive functioning, communication skills and behaviour, they may go to either a special school setting or a mainstream setting
In the year before the child goes to school, Irabina professionals will consult the the family to discuss options. Families will be supported in their decision making and assisted in the enrolment and transition process by Irabina.
Many children with Autism Spectrum Disorder will be eligible for funding assistance in government
schools through The Program for Students With Disabilities and Impairments.
