How Can You Help?

Funding

It should be noted that Irabina Childhood Autism Services is a Non-Government Agency, which receives funding from the Department of Human Services, Victoria.

The Committee of Management is responsible for the financial management of the Centre, and is accountable to the Department of Human Services via a Funding & Service Agreement. Regular financial statements and records are sent to funding bodies, and the accounts are audited annually.

DHS funding does not cover all of Irabina's expenses and it is necessary to charge fees. Term fees are set by the Committee of Management and all efforts are made to keep these to a minimum.

Other sources of funding are through donations, grants from trusts, and fundraising.

Donations to Irabina over $2 are fully tax deductible, and we deeply appreciate all donations, big and small. We enjoy the support of a small number of regular donors whom we thank most sincerely for their continuing support.

Fundraising is an important activity undertaken by Irabina parents in order to balance the books. We welcome any input or ideas from parents or community groups or individuals. If you would like to be involved we can put you in touch with the Parent Fundraising Group.

Corporate Sponsorship is an important area that Irabina is striving to develop. The Committee of Management is currently working on some Sponsorship ideas and packages and would welcome input from any interested community member.
